Strategy Development Workshop powered by the Plan-C Project
Târgoviște, 30 October 2025 – Representatives of the plastics and machinery industries, researchers, and innovation experts gathered at Valahia University for the “Circular Economy in the Plastics and Machine Industry” workshop, a strategic session organized under the Plan-C Project – Moving Plastics and Machine Industry towards Circularity.
Held between 11:45 and 13:30 as a parallel session within the INNOPRO 2025 Conference, the workshop aimed to identify key challenges and co-create practical solutions for accelerating the transition of the plastics and machine sectors toward a circular economy.
A collaborative and hands-on approach
The session started with a short introduction to the Plan-C project and its objectives, followed by an ice-breaker round where participants introduced themselves and reflected on current challenges faced by machine manufacturers in supporting circularity.
The main part of the event was an interactive Design Thinking session in six steps, through which participants collaboratively:
-
Identified the key track sections for machine producers across the product lifetime;
-
Mapped existing hurdles;
-
Assigned them to the relevant production stages;
-
Prioritized critical phases;
-
Reflected on the challenges of plastics processors and synergies between sectors;
-
Evaluated the feasibility and impact of the proposed “lifts” – potential solutions.
The workshop concluded with a summary of the identified hurdles and opportunities, followed by a group photo and documentation session.
